If you’re reading this, you might be late for a very important date.

Digital mapping company onX Backcountry is serving up some pro bono advice from Cody Townsend— and you’re invited. The free class with Cody Townsend starts at 6 p.m. MT on Wednesday, Feb. 8 . According to onX, it’s teaming up with Townsend to “bring his Fifty Project into the digital era.”

The company’s online invite didn’t elaborate on exactly what that means, but Townsend’s widely-publicized current goal is to climb and ski all 50 of the lines and mountains in the classic book The Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America .

“Tune in for a free evening where you’ll learn how to find and plan for world-class ski lines or just optimize your weekend tour,” onX wrote in the invite. “You’ll be able to ask Cody questions and walk away with better knowledge of onX Backcountry.”

The event includes a live question-and-answer session, a free gear giveaway, and a chance to learn how to use onX’s app to its “fullest potential.” It’s a can’t-miss event, and you can bet we’ll be there.

Unsurprisingly, live attendance is limited, so onX suggests registering ASAP and signing on early to snag your digital seat. Also, you’ll want to have an onX Backcountry account set up before the class (a basic account is free).
